FAQs...Frequently Asked Questions...
Do I need any experience to start pole dancing?
No experience is necessary to start! Our beginner sessions are designed for all fitness levels. We’ll guide you through basic moves and help you build strength and confidence.
What should I wear to session?
For pole classes like Pole Play 101 or our 4 Week Intro to Pole Series, we recommend shorts/bikini bottoms and a tank top or sports bra—exposed skin helps with grip on the pole. For other classes like flexibility, lyra or dance, leggings are fine. You are welcome to layer up and strip down as you get more comfortable. More is fine...Less is fine...we love all skin.
I'm a complete beginner, where do I start?
Our 4 Week Intro to Pole Series is a great place to start, but if you don't want to commit to 4 classes, I recommend taking our Pole Play 101 which we have on the schedule multiple times a week that you can book for $35.
How do I register for a session?
You can sign up online through our website or studio app (Strong Souls). Some classes fill quickly, so we recommend booking in advance. BOOK HERE
Is there a weight limit for using the pole?
Our poles are professional-grade X-POLES and can support a high amount of weight safely. They are bolted to the ceiling and through the concrete. We do not believe poles should be tension mounted in a professional setting. Your safety is our priority.
Is there an age limit?
All our sessions are 18+. This is more for our students to feel comfortable to relax and not filter themselves. We don't make exceptions to the age limit.
And NO, you are not too old to pole. There are pole dancers up into their 80s still rocking it.
Do I need to be strong or flexible to start?
Not at all. Our sessions are meant to build strength, coordination, and flexibility over time. You’ll improve as you go!
What types of classes do you offer?
We offer:
-
Pole dance (beginner to advanced)
-
Floorwork / Heel Routine
-
Private lessons and parties
Do men take pole sessions too?
Yes! Our studio is inclusive and welcomes all genders. Most of our students do tend to be female or female-presenting. We are LGBTQ+ friendly. All who sign up are expected to participate. We don't allow an audience in our sessions. We do try to host quarterly showcase events that is voluntarily to sign up and friends and family come to watch students show off their pole/aerial progress.
Can I take a session if I’m not comfortable in revealing clothing?
Yes. Comfort is key. While exposed skin helps with grip, many moves can still be learned wearing jogger shorts and a t-shirt in the beginning.
(They also do sell sticky leggings if showing a little leg is completely out of your comfort zone.)
What if I’m nervous about my first class?
That’s completely normal! Our instructors and community are welcoming and supportive. Everyone starts somewhere—just show up, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Is there a weight limit for using lyra, aerial hammock or fly pole.
The company (X-POLE) we buy the apparatus from mostly say 300-350 pounds.
Can I book a private party or bachelorette event?
Absolutely! We host private events for birthdays, bachelorettes, or just a fun night out.
Contact us for availability and pricing. Best way is to call or text (863) 270-1787
Do I have to wear heels?
No. We only have two classes at the moment (Bad B Heel Flow and Sacred Silk) that heels are meant for, but you could wear socks even to those classes and mimic the glide. Most of our classes are taught barefoot or you are welcome to wear socks.
Why Pole?
Most of us who love pole find the gym incredibly boring, but wanted to move our bodies. Workouts are hard to stick to consistently for us. Or for some reason the spinning of the pole or glide of the heels calms our anxious minds.
