8 Things that are Important to me as a Pole Studio Owner...

I have a cute TikTok video on this, but I wanted to elaborate so buckle up if you are curious soul who is maybe considering a first time beginner pole class or new home studio.

(Video is embedded below. )

  1. Having supportive instructors and students in the studio. Our vibe is so incredibly important to me. I want everyone who walks through our doors to feel instantly able to relax and feel welcomed as they are. No need to fit into a mold or change who you are. I want you to feel like we are your biggest cheerleaders. The ones you can share your life with and just have fun. Relax. Unwind. Be goofy. Be weird. Know that we love and accept everyone 18+. We are an inclusive studio to plus size, LGBTQ+, and strippers or other industry workers. Everyone is an incredible soul to us.

  2. Having a clean studio. I'm not too sure I need to elaborate, but it is super important to me that our space feel clean and be well taken care of.

  3. Having a prepared studio. Need a yoga block, yoga strap, crash pad, heels, hair tie, tampon, phone holder, snack, water, knee pads, ice pack, etc.? We probably have it ready to go for you. It is maybe the millennial in me, but I always want everyone to have what they need so they can focus and enjoy the class. If I can ease the stress by being prepared, I'll do it.

  4. Having knowledgeable instructors. Our instructors are incredible. They have different backgrounds and skills but are all incredibly talented and knowledgeable about their craft. They often share tips and tricks in their classes that go well beyond just pole. Most are performers or competitors themselves. They are smart and kind souls.

  5. Your safety. Aerial can be dangerous, but we do take your safety seriously. We want you to be as safe as possible and listen to your body. Our poles in the studio are professional stainless steel that are bolted to the ceiling and into the concrete. No tension mounted heart attacks here babe...We have thick crash mats to use especially if doing inverted moves. We even have kneepads to borrow in case you forget them, babes we care about your body and health. We will progress you based on the skills we see you accomplish. We want you to have a long healthy pole journey. Not one that is cut short due to an injury. Your body is important to us. We understand different bodies are able to do different things and are always willing to provide modifications where we can.

  6. Your comfort. See prepared above lol. But honestly, I know how nerve racking a first-time pole class might be. Being in a beginner pole class can be intimidating because you just don't know what to expect most times and society often pushes comparison. We do our best to eliminate comparison and work within our skill levels. To encourage and support. We totally understand if showing too much skin is uncomfortable. We totally understand if the mirrors are scary or you are shy. We promise there is no judgment for your needs. We love everyone and want you to feel as comfortable as possible as your genuine self.

  7. Your success. Babes we are your biggest hype. We love to see other babes winning and succeeding both on and off the pole. Crush those goals. Share them with us so we can help you get there. We love to support and encourage.

  8. YOU. If you didn't get that from reading all of this above....I'll just go ahead and state it explicitly. You are so incredibly important to us. People like you who are brave and come try a pole dance class are what allow us to continue to share confidence and empower with others through pole dancing. We can't wait to meet you and help you accomplish your goals.

The best way to get started at our studio is to go ahead and book a class. I usually recommend our 4 Week Intro to Pole Series if you can commit to 4 weeks in a row as it is structured and meant to progress you from the floor with possibly no upper body strength to the pole successfully and confidently. You do not have to come to pole class already strong....Just like you don't go to the gym already strong. Show up and have fun and get strong in the process. We host 2-3 different sessions each month for our 4 Week Series so click the link and book our next upcoming session.

If you cannot commit to 4 weeks in a row, we have so many beginner friendly classes. I have them in order on our Class page with the times they are offered. Drop in classes give you the flexibility to work around changing schedules.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Love you so much already! - Nicole
